Welcome to Trash & Treasure Auctions! Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”,
“Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using our website and participating in our online
auctions. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. General Information

Trash & Treasure Auctions offers new & second-hand goods through online auctions,
including weekly WhatsApp auctions. Our platform is built on a community-first approach,
helping individuals declutter, downsize, relocate, or turn unused items into cash.

2. Eligibility

To participate in any of our auctions, you must:
 Be 18 years or older
 Reside in South Africa
 Agree to and comply with these Terms and Conditions

3. Auction Process

– All lots are uploaded in advance for viewing.
– Bidding takes place via our online platform and/or WhatsApp auction group.
– Auctions will clearly display start and end times.
– Once a bid is placed, it is considered final and binding.
– The highest bidder at the end of the auction will be deemed the winner.
– Reserve prices may apply to some items.

4. Payment Terms

– All bids are final. No cancellations, refunds, or returns will be accepted.
– Payment must be made within 48 hours of winning the auction.
– Failure to make payment may result in a ban from future auctions.

5. Collection and Delivery

– Items must be collected or delivery arranged within 2 weeks of winning.
– Delivery can be arranged at an additional cost depending on location and size of
item(s).
– If you do not collect or arrange delivery within 2 weeks, the item may be relisted and
proceeds will be donated to charity
– No refund will be given for goods lost due to not collecting/arranging delivery.

6. Item Condition

– All items are sold as-is, often second-hand or pre-loved.
– We do our best to provide accurate descriptions and images, but we encourage
bidders to ask questions before bidding.
– No guarantees, warranties, or returns will be accepted unless explicitly stated.

7. Community Values

– Treat other bidders, sellers, and team members with respect
– Abide by ethical bidding practices
– Avoid shill bidding or any attempt to manipulate the outcome

8. Privacy Policy

We value your privacy.
– Personal information is collected solely for processing orders, delivering items, and
communicating auction updates. We will never sell or share your information
without consent.
– ID and address is collected as per legislation but stored securely
